Hebden Bridge

Travel & stay

The barn is up a single-track road with no pavement, so please do not plan to walk from town in the dark.

Getting there

Hardcastle Barn, Midgehole Road, Hebden Bridge HX7 7AA. There is parking for about forty cars on the field beside the barn, which is fine unless it has rained heavily, in which case use the town car parks and get a taxi up.

Taxis

Book these in advance — on a Saturday night in June you will not get one on the day. Calder Cars 01422 000 111, Bridge Taxis 01422 000 222. Both know the barn.

Questions

Can I bring my children?
Yes, and please do. Add them to your party on the RSVP and choose the children's portion. There is a room off the barn with beanbags and a projector for when it all gets too much.
What should I wear?
Whatever you like. The barn floor is stone and the field is a field, so heels are a decision rather than a rule. It will be colder than you expect after nine.
Is it accessible?
The barn, the courtyard and the accessible WC are all step-free, and there is drop-off right at the door. The upper hay barn is up eight steps with a handrail and nothing essential happens there. Tell us on the RSVP and we will reserve a table near the front.
I have a dietary requirement not on the list
Put it in the notes box on your RSVP. The kitchen would much rather know in March than be told on the day, and they are genuinely good about it.
